 苏州工业园区博爱学校是一所民办福利性质、社会力量办学的非营利特殊教育与康复医疗机构。收治来自全国各地的肢体残障儿童。开展幼儿学龄前期与学龄期集特殊教育与康复医疗为一体的全日寄宿制学校。
博爱学校实施免费义务教育。博爱学校的开办得到苏州市政府、园区管委会、苏州市红十字会、新加坡国际友人和社会各界的支持和捐助。 博爱学校办学的基本指导思想是坚持全面康复，加强基础教育和生存教育。综合地、选择性地应用中西医结合医疗的、教育的、心理的、工程的、社会的疏导，促进残疾儿童早期得到启蒙教育，促进其身心健康得到全面发展，平等参与社会生活，享受儿童时期的欢乐。我们的发展目标是培养学生成为有知识、有文化、残而不废、具有健康人格的有用人才。帮助这一弱势群体的普及教育与康复纳入国家义务教育的轨道，与国际接轨。
博爱学校目前开展了康复医疗的物理治疗、作业治疗、语言治疗、视觉运动治疗、感觉统和治疗、抑制性石膏矫正治疗以及生活自理能力训练治疗；在义务基础教育中：开设了托班、小班、中班、大班、培智班。分别有健康、艺术、语言、科学、社会、游戏等课程。在学龄期儿童中，开设了小学课程。通过全方位教育与康复的统和实施，极有效地促进了残疾儿童在体能、心智的全面发展。大多数儿童学会了生活自理，塑造了积极主动的性格和自己解决问题的能力，80%的儿童接受教育的能力基本接近正常，身心健康得到全面发展。

A BRIEF INTRODUCTION TO SUZHOU CITY CHARITY NURSERY SCHOOL
Suzhou Industrial Park Charity Nursery School is a non-state, non-profit, charity medical organization for special education and rehabilitative treatment, running with social sponsorship. The school, accommodating physically disabled children all over the country, is a full-day board school integrated with pre-school and school special education and rehabilitative treatment and offers free compulsory education. The launch of the charity nursery school has got support and donations from Suzhou Industrial Park Administration Commission, Suzhou Red Cross Society, international friends from Singapore and all circles of the society. The school holds onto comprehensive rehabilitative treatment and survival education. It promotes the enlightenment education of handicapped kids at an early age, the overall development of their physical and mental health, and helps them to participate in social life on equal footing and enjoy childhood happiness, through Chinese-West integrated medical therapies, educational, mental, engineering and social guiding. We bear the mission to cultivate the students into educated, knowledgeable and useful people with healthy personality, though physically disabled but mentally sound, and help accommodate the universal education and rehabilitation of this inferior group into state compulsory education as to meet international standard. At present the school has set up physiotherapy, work therapy, massage therapy, lingual therapy, visual exercise therapy, sense unification therapy, inhibitive plaster correction therapy, and self-serving ability training and therapy. It has established the nursery class, the bottom class, the middle class and the top class of kindergarten, as well as intelligence cultivation class for compulsory education, setting up courses on health, art, language, science, society, games and so on. It has also set up primary school program for children of school age. The unified implementation of overall education and rehabilitation has effectively improved the overall development of handicapped kids in physical performance and intelligence. Most of them have learned self-service in daily life and forge proactive personality and self-solving ability. And some of them have achieved almost normal education reception capability and overall improvement in physical and mental health. We sincerely wish that volunteers who care for social benefits would join us in this project of love, to help these disabled children realize their dream for education, and let more disabled children and their families feel the humanly warmth beyond borderlines.
